Coho SalmonJust like the King Salmon, the Coho Salmon thrives in the coastal areas of the Pacific Ocean. It has also been introduced the Great Lakes and several landlocked reservoirs. The fish is known as the "silver salmon" because of its color. However, during the spawning season it changes appearence and the shape of the teeth are altered. The belly of the mature fish turns brightly red. |
